Day 2

Well, I survived a full day and a half so far.

That's good, right??

I've been reading up a lot on the do's and don't of the program and I think I've got it down. I mean, it's pretty simple. Eat things you can pronounce ;)

The hardest part for me? Giving up sugar and dairy. I love baking, I love cookies and ice cream and yogurt and milk. But it'll be okay... I think. It's ONLY 30 days. That's what I have to keep telling myself.

I work from home on Wednesdays which is great because I'm not tempted by all of the treats in the office or by coffee (and cookie) runs or just stopping by Potbelly sandwiches for lunch. Plus, I stocked the fridge with our first round of Whole 30 groceries. Not gonna lie- it was hard walking around the grocery store looking at all of the things I couldn't buy.

Breakfast: Banana

Lunch: 3 scrabbled eggs

Snack: Carrots and Pineapple

Dinner.... TBD, but probably chicken and potatoes

Snack: Berries

I've been keeping it pretty simple so far, only because I'm intimidate by figuring out what to eat and what kind of recipes to eat. I've started looking at recipes online and I'm thinking I'll start tying to plan out meals further in advance so I don't just grab whatever snack is easiest to grab.

Yesterday, the first day, I felt super cranky. I couldn't decide if it had anything to do with cutting out certain foods (sugar.....) or if it was just a stressful, annoying day. Because today I'm feeling pretty good. I took a class at OrangeTheory and didn't pass out, so that's good. Energy level is also pretty good so far, but I'm starting to fade, so that probably means its time for dinner. SEE YA.

Another update to come tomorrow!
