Day 7

Keeping it short today. It was a long, rainy day - would have been great for some hearty potato soup, but oh well.

I stuck to it and have officially made it a week into the Whole 30. Woohoo.

Breakfast: Banana, cold brew with almond milk

Lunch: 2 hard boiled eggs, apple

Dinner: Chicken and asparagus

Pretty slim pickings today and nothing very exciting. But I'm realizing that I need to shift more into this focus of eat to live, not live to eat. I don't know. Maybe I'm just saying that as an excuse right now because I AM THINKING ABOUT FOOD ALL OF THE TIME NOW.


Also, this weekend we have a wedding and I know that we're probably going to have a glass or two of wine, so... there's that. And that's ok. I know technically its not okay with the "rules" But, I can deal.

The other semi "planned" cheat day is when one of my best friends comes into town on Thursday night - she is actually doing the Whole30 as well - and we are going to go out for a nice dinner, because she's never in NYC and I'm not going to force us to stay in and eat something that she could make herself at home.

I'm thinking with these two off days, perhaps I'll just take on two extra days of the Whole 30 to make up for it. We'll see. I feel bad, but then again, I'm human and also the fact that I'm even attempting this elimination diet or a diet at all, is enough in my mind.
